CFMOTO motorcycle recalls

CFMOTO POWERSPORTS, INC. (CFMOTO) is recalling certain 2023 450SS motorcycles. The telematics box (T-box) may fall onto the front steering forks, which can cause a loss of steering control.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the T-Box holder, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 29, 2024. Owners may contact CFMOTO customer service at 1-763-398-2690. CFMOTO's number for this recall is SAF-2024-01.

CFMOTO POWERSPORTS, INC. (CFMOTO) is recalling certain 2022-2023 700CL-X motorcycles. The ABS control module software settings may delay braking when the hand brake lever is squeezed two or more times, and therefore lengthen the distance required to stop the motorcycle.

Remedy: Dealers will update the ABS software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 5, 2023. CFMOTO Powersports, Inc. (CFMOTO) is recalling certain 2023 Ibex 800 S and Ibex 800 T motorcycles. The throttle wire may bend excessively and break, resulting in a loss of throttle response and an engine stall.

Remedy: Dealers will reposition the rubber claps, rerouting the throttle wire, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 28, 2024. Owners may contact CFMOTO customer service at 1-763-398-2690. CFMOTO's number for this recall is SAF-2024-03.
