NHTSA · refreshed 5 days agoON CERTAIN MOTORCYCLES, WHILE IN USE THE SWING ARM COMPONENT MAY DEVELOP A STRESS FRACTURE OVER AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE SWING ARM COMPONENT. THE RECALL BEGAN IN SEPTEMBER 2006. OWNERS WHO HAVE NOT HAD THEIR MOTORCYCLE REPAIRED WILL BE RENOTIFIED OF THIS RECALL DURING AUGUST/SEPTEMBER 2008. OWNERS MAY CONTACT APRILIA AT 770-592-2261.
