NHTSA · refreshed 5 days agoTHE REAR REFLEX REFLECTOR ON AFFECTED GS500 MOTORCYCLES AND THE REAR AND SIDE REFLEX REFLECTORS ON AFFECTED GZ250 MOTORCYCLES FAIL TO CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, 'LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT.' THE REFLEX REFLECTORS HAVE A REFLECTED LIGHT OUTPUT AT SOME MEASUREMENT ANGLES THAT IS LESS THAN THE MINIMUM OUTPUT REQUIRED BY THE STANDARD.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE NON-COMPLYING REFLEX REFLECTORS WITH COMPLYING REFLECTORS. THE RECALL BEGAN ON NOVEMBER 16, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT SUZUKI AT 1-800-255-2550.
